Recovery And Catch Up

Recovery Premium

The following sections detail our school’s strategies to support pupils at Lawn Manor Academy with the challenges that they may face with the unprecedented situations they have been placed in due to Covid-19. The government states that:

“Children and young people across the country have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19). Those from the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds will be among those hardest hit. The aggregate impact of lost time in education will be substantial, and the scale of our response must match the scale of the challenge”

Catch up funding 2019-2020

At Lawn Manor Academy we used ‘Catch Up’ funding to help ensure pupils who have below average attainment on entry to the school make accelerated progress in Year 7 and catch up with their peers.

Please see the link above for details of how this funding was planned to be spent and an evaluation for the 2019-2020 academic year.

The funding has been replaced for the 2020-2021 academic year by the Catch Up Premium, that is no longer solely directed towards those pupils in Year 7.
