Students studying history at Lawn Manor Academy will develop and understanding of the history that has shaped the country in which we live in as well as the wider world.
The three-year KS3 course allows students to study a range of subjects, developing skills and making connections between events of the past.
Students question sources and learn about concepts such as change and continuity, monarchies, democracy and censorship.
Students who opt to take history in the two-year GCSE course are able to explore these concepts in Britain under the Anglo Saxons and Normans unit and Medicine through time unit. Students also learn about modern international history through the Germany and Cold War units.
